Strateligent creates website design for national campaign based in California.

Strateligent® designed and provides digital marketing analysis for the Climate Mayors’ website (www.driveevfleets.org), which is a resource for cities, counties, mayors, and other government agencies seeking to reduce their inventory of gas/diesel-powered fleet vehicles in favor of battery-powered vehicles. The Climate Mayors Electric Vehicle (EV) Purchasing Collaborative (Collaborative) went live in the fall of 2018.   Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti is the founder and chair of Climate Mayors, which partners with the Electrification Coalition and Sourcewell. When Strateligent collaborated with Sourcewell to plan their communication and design materials for their 2018 rebranding and launch event, they introduced us to Climate Mayors.   “The business relationship with Sourcewell and...

Extend Reach, Build Awareness, and Achieve Goals with a Strategic Rebrand

Small businesses grow. Sometimes they outgrow their brand. A lot had changed since Michael Ryan and Wesley Hoppe founded Ryan & Hoppe Investment Management in 2010—they’d added a new partner, were opening a new location, and had plans for more growth. They wanted a new identity that embodied those changes, yet continued to represent their goals, vison, and mission.   Strateligent was hired to create a communication plan for a complete rebrand—a new name, a new brand logo, an arsenal of communication tools (i.e., a billboard, direct mail letter, signage, digital assets for the web), and a coordinated plan to launch the new identity.   Creating a name. The firm’s...

A Communication Plan That Changes Minds and Gets Results.

Brainerd Lakes Regional Airport (BRD) retained Strateligent’s services to find out if it was advertising in the right places. Could we help determine the best places to advertise? Sure. But our approach to communication goes deeper than where to place ads and freshening up some content—it’s delivering the right message, to the right people, in the right way, at the right time. And it all starts with a communication plan.   The plan. A communication plan contains the strategy we use to help our clients reach their goals. It’s how we know what we’re doing and reminds us why we’re doing it. We use the communication plan to...

Strateligent helps launch the first e-bike event in North America for international client

The E-bike Challenge Minneapolis—the first event of its kind in North America—was held this spring at the Minneapolis Convention Center. It was a place for consumers to test and compare e-bikes, which have batteries that allow riders to go farther and with greater ease.   Attendees of the E-bike Challenge tried out e-bikes on an indoor track set up around the venue from a variety of vendors with at least 30 bicycle brands. The event also featured breakout sessions with international speakers, a kids’ bike test track, fun family activities, and more.   Strateligent® worked with the European company, Hicle, Inc.—the organizer of the E-bike Challenge event—to develop...

Strategic Graphic Design Leads to Stable Branding

Close Converse started providing commercial real estate services throughout Central and North-Central Minnesota in 1995—it was time to modernize their brand. With Strateligent’s help, they recently relaunched their brand with a new logo, fresh signage, and a revamped web design.   More than a logo design. Our creative process involves our clients, their stakeholders, and the Strateligent creative team working together to create communication that serves a purpose. We don’t just brainstorm graphic design ideas; we create a blueprint for brand strategy that delivers results. Close Converse knew what they wanted—a logo that was recognizable and professionally modern. We knew they needed more than just that to effectively market...

Campaign for first-ever E-bike Challenge in USA

Strateligent worked with a European company, Hicle, Inc., to launch the first of its kind E-bike Challenge event in North America. (In Europe, Hicle organizes the biggest consumer fair in the world for bicycles and cycling tourism.) The campaign used public relations and design, behavioral online, geo-fencing, social media, and video. The net result was a successful year-one event and a scheduled year-two event in 2020.   One enthusiastic customer who had attended the March 28–29 E-bike Challenge Minneapolis event was new to e-bikes. She said, “I was there today! One of the best experiences I ever had. I haven’t ridden in 30 years and now I...

ST. JOSEPH — Sourcewell and Strateligent won the Best of Show and Gold Addy Awards for a collaborative entry at the American Advertising Federation (AAF) of Central Minnesota’s annual awards show, which recognizes advertising professionals for creative excellence and effective advertising and marketing.   The collaborative project between Strateligent (formerly RedHouseMedia), a Brainerd-based advertising agency, and Sourcewell, a public service cooperative based in Staples, was an introduction to the organization’s new brand at its national awarded vendor conference, called H20, held at Madden’s last June.   The purpose of the gathering is to provide education and recognition for a national vendor community made up of businesses ranging from Fortune...

A communication plan is your foundation

You wouldn’t construct a building without a solid foundation, but many people begin building a business brand without a plan. A communication plan is your foundation—it defines who your company is and how others see you. It presents a consistent message for business owners and stakeholders so the way they present the company is always clear, honest (no spin!), and on target.   What is a communication plan and what is its role in defining your business?   See what Aaron Hautala, owner and creative director at Strateligent, has to say about communication plans in the video above....

Photo courtesy of Frank Silverstein, MSNBC Your Business Aaron Hautala, creative director and owner of Strateligent, recently appeared on MSNBC’s national news program, “Your Business.”   MSNBC contacted Hautala to provide marketing and branding advice for Bushel and Peck’s—a company owned by Jackie Gennett, located in Beloit, Wisc. The eclectic space of Bushel and Peck’s includes a restaurant, artisan-craft grocery, bookstore, plant nursery, and wine shop—all under one roof.   “The producers of ‘Your Business’ asked me to provide marketing advice regarding the customer experience of Bushel and Peck’s in-store and online venues,” said Hautala. “Initially, in looking at the indoor market space with all their choices for products and...

RedHouseMedia Has A New Name

Fifteen years ago, RedHouseMedia started doing business in Aaron and Beth Hautala’s red house in Brainerd. The first office was smaller than a conference table. Since they didn’t want to use Hautala as a business name, RedHouseMedia was chosen.   The main reason for the name change after 15 years is to better reflect Strateligent’s vision and mission—that of assisting clients to communicate with purpose—leading to “strategic growth through intelligent design.”...
